I heard on the radio that the Next Idol was the most watched show ever and so I tuned in to see just what was attracting everyone to tune in for the show – in fact more than all the other station combined. As I watched the show it hit me… the people were not there looking for the next idol, they were there to watch the idiots that thought they had talent when indeed they had none at all.
I think there are always the stuff we know and the stuff we know that we don’t know, but it is really the stuff we don’t now we don’t know is what separates the most successful people from everyone else. Seeking out specialized knowledge, successful people hire coaches and mentors to give them honest feedback and guide them down the path towards excellence.
I guess then again, there is always the cheaper road towards self enlightened. To stand in front of an audience and think that you actually have talent when in reality you don’t, that is one way of learning I guess.
